Anne Marie Miles may join race for 2nd

The crowded race to replace Jesse Jackson Jr. as the Congressman for the 2nd District may include a former candidate for Fifth Ward alderman.
Anne Marie Miles, who has run again Ald. Leslie Hairston (5th) announced on Monday that she will “seriously consider” a run for the seat.
“We cannot lose another generation of African Americas, more focus is also needed to grow middle-class,” Miles said in a statement.
Jackson resigned from the seat in late November, citing treatment for depression and an ongoing federal investigation into his activities.
