Poll rejects McMobil plan
A majority of the respondents to a text poll conducted by the Hyde Park Herald in recent weeks reject the 13-story high-rise development proposed by Mesa Development LLC at the Mobil gas station and former Mcdonalds site across from Nichols Park, known as the McMobil site to Hyde Parkers.
More than 60 percent of voters — 61.95 percent — said they do not support the development.

How many people participated in the poll? Where was the poll advertised? Is there any reason to believe that the results are representative of the community as a whole?
If all you guys did was mention the poll in the Herald, then call it “a poll conducted by the Herald,” then I’m not impressed, and you should specify that the poll was not scientific, and therefore doesn’t mean much.

I agree, not very representative probably and also not very informative since there is no info about what the poll asked. I’m also sure there are a bunch of NIMBY’s who are content to keep the current eyesore there so there is no scary change or progress of any kind.
