The Murray Language Academy Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will be hosting its fourth annual rummage sale on Saturday, April 13, to raise money to assist with providing programs and other resources for the school.
The rummage sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gym at Murray, 5335 S. Kenwood Ave. Select organizations can call to have their participants be a part of a free shopping hour from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The PTO is hoping to raise enough money to help cover educational and social programs and services for students, provide supplies for teachers and pay for technology in the school, said Maria Jossey, vice president of special projects for the PTO at Murray.
Items available at the sale will include: designer clothing and accessories, clothing (infant, children, teen and adults), toys, games, purses, videos, DVDs, CDs, radios, sporting gear, baby products, household items, accessories, book shelves and small furniture items that are in good condition. Items for sale will start at 25 cents.
Organizations that are interested in the free shopping hour can email Jossey at email@example.com for a charity shopping pass.
