K.A.M. Isaiah Israel’s annual fundraiser will feature a preview of a future Hyde Park restaurant and a visit to 53rd Street newcomer Harper Theater.

K.A.M.’s new rabbi, Frederick Reeves, will attend. Reeves previously served as associate rabbi at The Temple in Atlanta.

Matthias Merges will serve food similar to what Hyde Parkers will see when he opens two restaurants along 53rd Street later this year.

Following dinner, attendees will visit Harper Theater for a screening of the Jackie Robinson biopic, “42.”

Before the movie, Jonathan Eig, author of “Opening Day, The Story of Jackie Robinson’s First Season,” will speak and answer questions.

Raffle tickets will be available for items from Hyatt Place Hyde Park, Kilwin’s, Supreme Jewelers, The Harper Theater, CorePower Yoga, Promontory, Park Tavern Hyde Park and the as-yet-unnamed Merges restaurant.

Chicago craft brewer Revolution Brewing will provide beer for the event.

The fundraiser will take place at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at K.A.M. Isaiah Israel, 1100 E. Hyde Park Blvd. Tickets start at $125 per person. For more information, contact Tal Rosen at trosen@kamii.org or 312-924-1234.
