Robie lauded in PBS buildings show

The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Robie House, 5757 S. Woodlawn Ave., will be featured as one of the “10 Buildings that Changed America,” in PBS’ similarly titled program.

The WTTW production airing at 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, includes the home, constructed between 1909 and 1910, alongside such buildings as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s Seagram Building, a skyscraper in New York City, and Dulles International Airport.

The Robie House is the only Chicago building on the list.
