The Fourth Annual Woodlawn Community summit, entitled “We Are One,” will take place from 8:15 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 27, at the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration, 969 E. 60th St., with nationally-syndicated TV judge Greg Mathis as its keynote speaker.
The free event, organized by The South East Chicago Commission (SECC), the Woodlawn Neighbors Association and the Kenwood Pointe Homeowners Association, features a breakfast reception and breakout sessions on economic development, crime prevention and youth engagement.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to sign up for volunteer projects, according to the event’s registration page.
