On Sunday, April 28, at 12:30 p.m., family and friends will gather at Bond Chapel, 1025 E. 58th St., to celebrate the life of Juergen Droegemueller. Droegemueller was a generous, caring member of Hyde Park who tended his garden and the neighborhood. He was one of the first volunteers at the Museum of Science and Industry, usually claiming the awards for greatest number of volunteer hours. He took great pride in everything he did, from Hyde Park real estate to translating the logs from the U-505 submarine at MSI. Juergen’s cheerful greetings and kind words of encouragement helped countless people who were lucky enough to know him.
