Harper Avenue shooting leaves one dead, one injured

The Chicago Police Department is reporting one man dead and another injured following a shooting inside an apartment building in the 5200 block of South Harper Avenue last night after midnight.
At approximately 12:15 a.m. Tuesday morning, two males were standing in a hallway in an apartment building when they were approached by a third male who opened fire, according to a representative from Chicago Police News Affairs. One of the two victims was shot in the chest and was unresponsive at the scene, while the other was shot in the hand and transported to Stroger Hospital and reported in good condition, the representative said.
There is no one in custody and the investigation is ongoing, according to the representative.
