The Chicago-based non-profit Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) is recognizing a Hyde Park educator with its first-ever 2013 Fast Track Award. Award recipient Peg Pavelec is the founder of area day care Little Inspirations, based at the Hyde Park Neighborhood Club, 5480 S. Kenwood Ave.
“Little Inspirations stands apart because of its exceptional program for children,” the WBDC said in a prepared statement.
The award will be presented to Pavelec on Saturday, June 1, at the WBDC’s 15th Anniversary Child Care Business Expo, which Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle will attend. It will be held at the UIC Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt Rd, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
