Shakespeare coming to Nichols Park

Hyde Parkers can pack their picnic blankets and lawn chairs up for the Shakespeare classic, “A Comedy of Errors.” Spectralia theater will bring its production of the play to the area outside the field house at Nichols Park, 1355 E. 53rd St., on Sunday, July 7.

The theater’s program, “Bard in the Parks,” which has presented plays in Nichols Park once before by Spectralia and on other occasions by a different theater company, will present the play in a number of other parks throughout the city between June 29 and Aug. 4.

“Nichols Park has always been really supportive of the program,” said Julie Johnson, an organizer of the Bard in the Parks program. “They always get a lot of people to come.”

The program is free of charge and begins at 5 p.m. For more information and other times in parks throughout the city, call 773-654-3097 or visit spectralia.org.
