Sketchbook project coming to Hyde Park

The Sketchbook Project mobile library will be making its way to the Hyde Park Arts Center, 5020 S. Cornell Ave. for a two-day exhibition July 13 and June 14, from noon to 5 p.m.

The project will display 4,500 globally crowd-sourced, handmade books. Their mission, to “allow anyone to be able to participate in art,” has connected with 67,924 people worldwide.

In addition to their flagship library in Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Williamsburg neighborhood, this year the mobile project will stop in Chicago, Austin, Atlanta, Toronto, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Hyde Parkers interested in participating in the Sketchbook Project can sign up online at sketchbookproject.com.
