The Hyde Park Jazz festival released the schedule and lineup for its September event.
This year’s event, which takes place in 13 venues throughout the neighborhood, is in its seventh year. More than 30 performers have been booked on 13 stages. Headliners include drummer Dana Hall, Grammy nominee Gerald Clayton and Anat Cohen and Douglas Lora.
Other artists include the Ken Vandermark Ensemble: People, Places & Things; the Dee Alexander Quartet; the Miguel de la Cerna Trio; the Douglas Ewart Trio; Mwata Bowden and the University of Chicago Jazz Xtet; the Jeff Parker Trio; the Tomeka Reid Quartet; Frank Rosaly’s Green and Gold; and the Chicago Jazz Orchestra with Tammy McCann.
This year’s festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28 and 29.
