Ray Lahood to join Axelrod team

Ray LaHood recently joined the University of Chicago Institute of Politics Board of Advisors.

The Institute of Politics is a non-partisan program directed by former Obama Administration senior advisor David Axelrod.

The former transportation secretary served under the Obama Administration and was seven-term Illinois Republican congressman.

The board also includes New York Times political columnist David Brooks; Mayor of San Antonio Julian Castro; Stephanie Cutter, former deputy campaign manager for Barack Obama; Larry Grisolano, partner at AKPD Media; historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, author of several presidents’ biographies; Groupon cofounder Brad Keywell; The Weekly Standard founder Bill Kristol; Univsion president of news Isaac Lee; Republican political consultant Mike Murphy; former senior advisor to Mitt Romney Beth Myers; Governor of Massachusetts Deval Patrick; former senior advisor to Obama David Plouffe; president of The Center for American Progress Neera Tanden; president of The Tricoastal Foundation Bernard Winograd and deputy mayor of New York City Howard Wolfson.
