Rally protesting police

The Rainbow PUSH Coalition will join the National Conference of Black Lawyers (Chicago Chapter) and about 200 community leaders in a mass march at City Hall to demand police accountability. The organizations plan to rally at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Federal Plaza on Dearborn and Adams streets and March to City Hall at 11:30 a.m. to demand passage of a law creating an elected Civilian Police Accountability Council. The Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression and its Stop Police Crimes Organizing Committee initiated the movement.
