A question and answer session and discussion on the Affordable Care Act will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. next Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Chicago Theological Seminary, 1407 E. 60th St.
The event, entitled “A Community Health Forum: How the Affordable Care Act Affects Older Adults and the Uninsured,” will give audience members a chance to ask questions in break-out sessions and enroll in new coverage options and affordability programs with the help of a counselor.
Five experts will speak at the event, including Dr. Claudia Fegan, executive medical officer of the Cook County Health and Hospitals System, as well as U. of C. School of Service Administration Professor Harold Pollack and Dr. David Meltzer.
The event is being presented by Chicago Hyde Park Village, the Older Women’s League and the Center for Community Health and Vitality at the University of Chicago Medicine.
