Matthias Merges’ has confirmed that his new Hyde Park restaurant, A10, will open Tuesday, Nov. 5., at 1462 E. 53rd St.
Chef John Vermiglio will oversee the northern Italian-themed restaurant. Vermiglio is also chef de cuisine at Merges’ Logan Square brunch restaurant, Billy Sunday.
A10 will include high-end dishes as well as pizzas, cocktails, wine and frozen yogurt. A bar for lunch customers will join the restaurant’s main dining area.
“There’s really no basis for comparison [with] any restaurant in the area,” Vermiglio said.
