The Chicago Lake Shore Hotel, formerly the Ramada, has been sold to La Quinta Inn recently.
Earl Adams, director of sales and marketing, for the hotel at 4900 S. Lake Shore Dr., announced the sale on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
The hotel will remain open during renovation, which will include updating the rooms to modern standards.
“We’re going to have a good size face lift,” Adams said.
Officially the Chicago Lake Shore Hotel will become a La Quinta when the renovation is completed around June. It will remain an independently operating hotel until that time.
