Valparaiso University will expand its presence in Hyde Park next January.
Since January 2013, the Indiana school’s first satellite campus, Valparaiso University of Chicago, has been offering graduate classes for its Master in Health Administration out of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, 1100 E. 55th St. A law clinic affiliated with the university’s law school opened at LSTC the previous fall.
Next year’s programs will include a Master of Ministry Leadership and Administration and a Master of Professional Studies in Law, including three tracks: criminal law, health and business.
David Rowland, dean of Graduate and Continuing Education at Valparaiso University said the school sensed “the South Side would be a good location, at least initially, for Valpo as we moved into the Chicago area.”
He added that the school is exploring a possible further expansion of its campus in the Midwest, potentially in Cleveland.
