MSI to host free days through February

The Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) will be offering free museum entry for kids through Feb. 28.

Free days at MSI, 5700 S. Lake Shore Dr., will take place daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Activities include:

  • “See lightning strike — indoors! Manipulate a tornado” – Science Storms exhibit;
  • “Climb inside a historic locomotive” – Transportation Gallery;
  • “Dissect a real eyeball” – Live Science Experience;
  • “Witness fiery chemistry” – Live Science Experience;
  • “Become an inventor at the Fab Lab” – Live Science Experience and
  • “Learn to dive and surface a submarine” – U-505 exhibit.

There are also opportunities to participate in live, hands-on science experiments.

Free tickets are available for kids between the ages of 3 and 11 and must be obtained on-site at the museum ticket counter. Up to four free child tickets are allowed with a purchase by one full-paying adult.
