St. Sabina’s Father Pfleger to speak at St. Thomas

Michael Pfleger, senior pastor of the Faith Community at St. Sabina Church, will be the guest speaker at St. Thomas the Apostle Church’s 11th Annual Prayer Breakfast.

The breakfast, which is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary, will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5 at St. Thomas the Apostle School, 5467 S. Woodlawn Ave.

During the breakfast Pflager will give a speech titled “What Will it Take to End the Violence Snatching Our Future?” He will engage the audience in a question and answer period after his speech. There will also be musical entertainment by Luciano Laurentiu, director of music and pianist at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, and Derrick Davis, pianist and a St. Thomas the Apostle School alum that now attends Mt. Carmel High School.

The breakfast will be catered by Lee & Eddie’s and proceeds from the event will fund special projects at the church and the school.
