KAM Isaiah Israel’s annual fundraiser will celebrate Hyde Park’s jazz roots at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26.

Tammy McCann and her combo will provide entertainment and WBEZ personality Richard Steele will speak. The focus on the evening will be Hyde Park’s position in the history of jazz.

McCann is a graduate of Kenwood Academy. She has been called the next great voice out of Chicago.

Promontory, the restaurant and music venue that is expected to open in the Akira building this spring, will lend its chef Jared Wentworth to the event. Wentworth has previously worked at Longman & Eagle, 2657 N. Kedzie Ave.

The congregation will also raffle off items from Chaturanga Holistic Fitness, Hyatt Place Hyde Park, Kilwin’s, the Harper Theater, LA Fitness, Bergstein’s Deli, Oliver’s, Piccolo Mondo, Promontory and A10. The grand prize will be tickets to a recording of the NPR game show “Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me.”

Tickets begin at $150 per person. For more information, contact Tal Rosen via email at trosen@kamii.org or call 312-924-1234.
