Community improv show holding auditions this week

A new comedy improv show sponsored by the Hyde Park Community Players will be holding auditions this week.

Auditions for “Drones, Clones and Phones: I Know What You Did Last Summer,” will take place at Augustana Lutheran Church, 5500 S. Woodlawn Ave., from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, May 3.

The show is being directed by its Second City-trained writer Dan Friedrich, and will explore the implications of new technology in scenes with titles such as  “When Robotic Prosthetics Go Bad” and “I know the Big Data You Produced Last Summer.”

The show will tour Hyde Park starting May 30 at the Quadrangle Club, 1155 E. 57th St.
