King Haile Selassie’s grandson to visit DuSable Museum

Ethiopia’s King Haile Selassie’s grandson, Prince Ermias Sahle Selassie, will make a stop in Hyde Park later this month on a visit to Chicago.

Prince Selassie will give a talk from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on June 29 at the DuSable Museum of African American History, 940 E. 56th Place, entitled “The Origins of the Solomonic Dynasty and The Throne of David in Ethiopia.” The talk was organized by the Chicago-based Queen Sheeba Historical and Research Foundation (QSF).

Selassie’s visit to Chicago coincides approximately with the 60th anniversary of his grandfather’s trip to the city in June 1954.
