The Hyde Park Jazz Festival will host a benefit concert at the Promontory Restaurant and Club next week.
The festival benefit will be among the first events at the new venue. Promontory owner Bruce Finkelman had not by Herald press time announced when the venue will officially open.
The jazz festival will host its benefit concert at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at Promontory 1539 E. 53rd St. Music will be performed by Steve Wilson, Renee Rosnes and Peter Washington as the WRW Trio.
The annual jazz festival is among the largest in the city of Chicago. This year’s festival will take place on Sept. 27 and 28 at many venues throughout Hyde Park.
