Hyde Park has another option for frozen yogurt in the neighborhood.

Red Mango, an international chain founded in South Korea, celebrated its soft open at 5221 S. Harper Court last week.

The store sells gluten-free, dairy-free, kosher, non-fat and low-fat yogurts. Toppings include syrups, fruit and cereals.

Each portion is sold by weight, customers self-serve including toppings, and the cup is weighed by the register.

This particular location will also sell smoothies, fruit and yogurt parfaits and fresh juices.

“All of our cafe salads, wraps, and flatbreads are under 500 calories. We have a variety of delicious and health conscious items so that we can offer something to everyone,” said manager Al Schwartz.

The store’s schedule and menu may be in flux but regular hours will be 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

A grand opening event will be held next month.
