Two shootings took place around 7:20 p.m. on Sunday night at the 5600 block of South Everett Avenue, killing one victim and sending another to the hospital, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.

A 34-year-old man was dead on scene after sustaining two gunshot wounds to the back of the head and a 41-year-old man is in stable condition after sustaining a gunshot wound in the arm and being transported to Stroger Hospital, police said.

According to police, the shooter walked up to the victims – both documented gang members – and began shooting. Nothing is known about the shooter at this time, police said.
