The annual mum and bulb sale will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, in the atrium of the Hyde Park Shopping Center at 55th Street and Lake Park Avenue.
The Hyde Park Garden Fair hosts two events each year, including one in the spring.
Funds raised are used to put flowers and decorative plants in open spaces at neighborhood schools, churches and public gardens.
This year the sale will have 80 different types of bulbs, all imported from Holland, and 150 to 200 chrysanthemums, asters and houseplants.
Most bulbs can be planted to come up in the early spring, but some can be forced indoors for a spot of color before winter.
Experts will be on hand to answer questions about gardening. There will be planting demonstrations.
