On June 21st, Make Music Chicago enters its fifth consecutive year as a free, citywide music festival. The event showcases musicians of all ages and skill levels at public venues across Chicago. The festival functions as part of “Fête de la Musique,” an annual event that takes place in more than 700 cities world-wide as a celebration of the summer solstice.
Event organizers in Hyde Park are searching for volunteers to help with festival tasks such as distributing flyers, greeting artists and assisting performers. Coordinators are also in need of additional South Side venues willing to host performances.
Prospective volunteers, performers and venues should contact Marta Nicholas at 773-288-1538 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
