This year’s Vends + Vibes arts marketplace is set for this weekend on Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11.
The annual marketplace features handmade crafts and unique products designed by South Side artists and entrepreneurs. This year’s 28 vendors will sell items such as jewelry, vegan popcorn, soap, clothing, comics, greeting cards and more.
Aside from items for purchase, there will be live DJ sets by local Chicago DJs, artist-led activities for kids and families, live caroling and open studios of the Arts + Public Life/Center for the Study of Race, Politics and Culture Artists-in-Residence.
Brother Nick, Santa Claus’ younger brother, will make an appearance on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Vends + Vibes will be held both days from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the UChicago Arts Block near the Arts Incubator, 301 E. Garfield Blvd.
