57th Street Wines, 1448 E. 57th St. officially opened over the weekend.

Steven Lucy, owner of Open Produce, 1635 E. 55th St., presented the idea for a wine store back in July to overwhelming support from the community.

The store boasts a wide range of wines from all over the world while also stocking local craft beer and a handful of spirits. Lucy said the wines carried in the store were hand selected by himself, Open Produce manager, Bex Behlen, and Derrick Westbrook, former sommelier at Elizabeth, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Lincoln Square.

57th Street Wines will be hosting a grand opening on Jan. 20 at 5 p.m.

Hours at the store are Tuesday through Thursday, noon to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon to midnight, Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the store is closed on Monday.
