Get to know Strive

To the Editor:

We’d like the Hyde Park-Kenwood community to know the following:

We are your neighbors.  We care about the children in our community.  We care about the health of our neighborhood.  We are the board, volunteers, and staff of Strive Tutoring.

We challenge you to join us in support of a prosperous, vital community that tends to the needs of children and teens—that gives them pathways of productive exploration, of meaningful friendships and of good, old-fashioned fun!

Strive serves local children, ages 6-17, from low-income families, through free educational and mentoring support.  But we need your help to do it.

We are pleased to invite you, our neighbors and friends, to our Annual Strive Spring Benefit.  It will be held at Hyde Park Bank, 1525 E. 53rd St., on Saturday, April 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased at strivetutoring.org.

Please join us on April 1, to learn about our work, to get to know us as people, as neighbors and to learn how you can get involved in Strive’s great work.
See you there!

Sincerely,

Angela Habr, Executive Director
Janak Paranjape, Program Director
Larry Bloom, President
Lisa Hodo, Vice President
