Wanda Marie Sharrieff, died peacefully on Dec. 30, 2017, at her home in Chicago after a brief stay in the hospital.
Sharrieff was born Sept. 23, 1929, in Chicago to Roosevelt Johnson and Dorothy Milner.
Sharrieff married McNair Grant Sr. and together they had four children, McNair Jr., Renee, Gerald and Donna. She taught for 20 years with Chicago Public Schools and opened a beauty boutique named New Faces in Hyde Park. After retiring from CPS in 1993, Sharrieff moved to Tempe, Ariz. She resided in Arizona until her return to Chicago in 2013.
Her parents, her younger brothers, and her two sons preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her two daughters, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, family, and friends
Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Little Black Pearl Workshop, 1060 E. 47th St., from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
