The Hyde Park Herald, in cooperation with Harper Court developer Vermillion and Smart Hotels LLC, have posted at the Herald website, hpherald.com, the complete series of renderings from the past two presentations by the development team.

The first, presented last summer, shows an overall picture of the project's phased redevelopment of Harper Court and the adjoining parking lot, a parcel bound to the west by Harper Avenue, south to north from 53rd to 52nd streets and to the east by Lake Park Avenue. The second is a rendering of the hotel that will be developed by Smart Hotels LLC, though Ed Small, president of the group, noted in an e-mail that the design is preliminary.

"The presentation is preliminary/conceptual and reflects Legat Architect's attempt to present a snapshot of the in-progress design," Small wrote. "There are inherent limitations in the ability of the architect to accurately depict building materials by renderings. We can expect changes to be made to the hotel design and materials as the process continues."
