South Side Young Life 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off. $15/$25 to be a chili cook. 1:30-4 p.m. Kennicott Park, 4334 S. Lake Park Ave. Last year over 25 chili cooks came together to try to win the title of “Best Chili Cook on Chicago’s South Side”. This year the competition is expected to be even fiercer. Each chili cook prepares a pot of their favorite chili recipe and then serves small portions for public judging. Each person attending the event gets three votes to use for their favorite chilies.
