A Snowy Day with Beatrix Potter & Friends. $15. 9:30 a.m. The Revival, 1160 E. 55th St. The stories of Helen Beatrix Potter, featuring iconic animal characters like Peter Rabbit, are told through a series of mechanical suitcase sculptures, which invite visitors to pull levers and turn cranks, revealing images that surprise and delight. Children under 2 in parents’ laps do not require a ticket. Best for children ages 2 to 8.

Event. Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Clinic at Midway. Free. 2-3 p.m. The Chicago Blackhawks are giving kids the opportunity to participate in a FREE ice hockey clinic! Use of skates and equipment will be provided at no cost. Some prior ice skating experience is required. All participants will receive a jersey to keep. Ages 5-9.

Ellis Ave. The Louis Armstrong Festival “Experience” is a half-day VIP tour through the different artistic elements of Armstrong’s work in Chicago’s Southside neighborhoods. Guests will enjoy guided tours and transportation through a unique combination of events highlighting Armstrong’s work. Guests will be picked up at the Court Theatre.

Workshop. Model Esteem @ The Silver Room

Workshop. Model Esteem. $10. 3:30-5:30 p.m. The Silver Room, 1506 E. 53rd St. Model Esteem is a modeling and performance arts school for youth ages 4-17 and young adults ages 18-25. The goal is to teach youth self-esteem through the arts. Students will learn industry experience from professional plus size model, actress and media personality, Shettima Webb.
