Hairston releases sample ballot for participatory budget vote

A sample ballot for ward improvement items to be selected by popular vote by 5th Ward residents was released this afternoon. On it are items that were presented at the recent expo days, ranging from mural creation to bike lanes to street repair. Residents can visit to see a complete list of the range of proposed improvements. Early voting will begin April 30 and run through May 2 at the Fifth Ward Service Office, 2325 E. 71st St.

The final voting assembly will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gary Comer College Prep, 7131 S. South Chicago Ave.
