No new leads on Harper shooting

The Chicago Police Department has not released any new information following the murder of 39-year-old Henry Atkins last week.

Police News Affairs said the shooting occurred at 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, in the hallway of a building on the 5200 block of Harper Avenue. Lewis Galvin, a resident of the apartment opened the door to find a man who then fired several shots. One shot hit the Atkins in the chest and Galvin in the hand. Atkins was unresponsive on the scene.
Galvin was taken to Stroger Hospital, treated and released.
