DuSable Museum to host free gallery talk on June 9

The DuSable Museum of African American history will be hosting a free gallery talk with Terrence A. Reese, the photographer behind its current exhibit, “Reflections,” from 3 to 5 p.m. on June 9 at 740 E. 56th Pl.

Also known as “Tar,” the New York-based photographer born in Chicago is slated to talk about documenting his exhibit’s 63 subjects, which include such high profile names as “Shaft” director Gordon Parks and N.A.A.C.P. activist Daisy Bates, who fought for the early 1950’s integration of schools in Little Rock, Ark.
