The House Ethics Committee announced Friday that it is investigating 11-term Congressman Bobby Rush (D-2).
The panel has not shared any specific details on the investigation, which was sparked by an Office of Congressional Ethics probe into the lawmaker. The panel has said it will announce its action on Nov. 10.
Last December, the Chicago Sun-Times ran a series in partnership with the Better Government Association on Rush’s finances, including $1 million in funds earmarked for an Englewood technology center that was never built. The newspaper’s editorial board called for an ethics probe.
