The Chicago Plan Commission approved the proposal from Smart Hotels, LLC to move forward with the boutique hotel on 53rd Street and Dorchester Avenue at a meeting last Thursday, May 19.

The hotel’s plan includes a seven-story building with 100 rooms, a ground floor restaurant and a rooftop amenity area. Also included in the plan is a 15-spot parking lot for guests. Other parking will be handled by a valet service that will utilize the Harper Court parking garage.
