Mt.Carmel falls to Marist High

In a Catholic League versus Suburban League basketball showdown, the Mt. Carmel High School Caravan fell to the18th ranked Marist High School Redhawks 51-39 on their home floor in front of a packed house on Tuesday night Dec. 13.

In the first half, both teams would struggle offensively, as they would combine for a team low 41 first half points. With the Redhawks leading 23-18 at the half.

In the second half, junior guard Morgan Taylor would score on put-backs, lay-ups, jump shots and free throws. Leading his team to a 12 point victory and a game high 17 points.

Final Score: Marist 51, Mt. Carmel 39

With the loss, the Caravan dropped to 1-4 record on the season.
