Margaret T. Adair died peacefully at her home in Montgomery Place, Chicago, on July 25, after a brief illness. She was born in Kassel, Germany, on March 19, 1920, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1955. She settled in Hyde Park and worked as a social worker at Chicago Child Care Society for nearly 30 years. Wife of the late Milton Adair (1986). She was an avid reader and gardener, a regular visitor to the Art Institute, and in retirement, a volunteer at the Windermere Senior Health Clinic. She is remembered by those who knew her as a thoughtful, caring, insightful friend who was fully engaged in life. She will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held on September 9, at 2 PM, at Montgomery Place, 5550 South Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60637.
