Kenwood’s Got Talent is Calling for Community Auditions

Kenwood Academy is hosting a talent showcase to raise proceeds for its Concert Choir on Feb. 23 and is currently seeking Bronco Parents, School Administrators, School Staff, Alumni, and Hyde Park community members to audition for the event.

This special edition showcase titled Kenwood’s Got Talent, will be centered around the performances of former alumni and parents, and aims to raise funds for the Concert Choir’s uniforms, travel expenses, and competitions.

The family-friendly fundraising event will include special performances by Kenwood Alums Bethany Pickens and Maggie Brown.

The Kenwood Academy Concert Choir is looking to host performances that include singing, spoken word, poetry, comedy, improve, and dance.

Kenwood’s Got Talent will be held February 23 at 7pm at the Kenwood Auditorium, 5015 S Blackstone. Tickets will be sold at the entrance of the auditorium at $10 per adult, and $5 per student.

A 50/50 raffle activity will be held at the end of the event, where 50 percent of the raised money will go to the Concert Choir and the other 50 percent will go to a lucky winner in the audience.
