Two Kenwood seniors selected to play on CPS All-Star teams

Kenwood Academy High School Broncos Basketball Players Robert “RJ” McGee and Nas Turner have been selected to play on Chicago Public School City All-Star teams in March.
McGee and Turner were selected for the teams after leading the Kenwood Broncos in scoring with averages of 13 points per game and 9 points per game respectively for the 2017-18 season.
The city of Chicago has five different All-Star teams. McGee was selected to play on the Chicago Public League All-Star team and Turner was selected play on the Future Stars All-Star team.

North Dakota State University, South Dakota University, and Tulsa University are currently recruiting McGee, class of 2018. The 6’ foot 5” shooting guard showed promise this season with his big-time athleticism, the ability to connect from deep, and his amazing upside as a wing defender.

Throughout the 2017-18 season, McGee was one of the team’s most utilized players.

Since playing for the Broncos, McGee has already visited South Dakota University and was ranked number 9 during the 2017-18 preseason by Prep Hoops Basketball as one of the top shooting guards in the city for the class of 2018.
Turner had an outstanding season averaging 9 points and 3 blocks a game. The 6-foot-5 forward did damage on both ends of the floor contributing with amazing block shots and multiple highlight reel dunks.

Throughout the season, Turner scored from multiple levels on the floor, finishing tip dunks while defending tenaciously. His suffocating defense led him to finish the season as an All-Area Mention and a player on the 2018 Chicago Sun Times All-City basketball team.
