Kenwood Broncos lose to Simeon in home conference baseball game

The Kenwood Academy High School Broncos boy’s varsity baseball team fell to Simeon Academy High School 19 to 16, in a home conference game played on April 30 at Burnham Park, at Cornell Avenue and 48th Street.

During the first inning, the Kenwood Broncos exploded for six runs. Thanks to the hot hitting of their team’s potent lineup, building a 6 to 0 lead to start the game.

In spite of hot hitting by Kenwood, the Wolverines would savage the Broncos pitching by scoring 19 runs over eight innings, sending the Broncos to its 18th loss of the season and a sub 500 record.

Final Score: Kenwood 16, Simeon 19

After the loss, the Broncos dropped to 17-18 on the season.
