This was the first year Ray fielded a 5th and 6th grade track team and we had three student-athletes compete at the Chicago Public Schools City Championship Meet at Hanson Stadium on June 9. Each of our students qualified by finishing in the top five in their events in the Regional qualifying meet at Lindblom field on June 2. There was a field of over 1600 athletes at the qualifier so getting to the city championship meet was a huge accomplishment for our athletes. Here are the results:

Kaelee Garrison – Girls Shot Put 11th place 18ft 7in
Treyshun Green – Boys Long Jump 3rd place 13 ft 4.5 in and 100m dash 8th place 13.71
Eric Stoddart – Boys 400m run, 9th place 1:14.40

Congratulations to the entire team for a great season!

Sincerely,
Rebecca Gorges & Eleni Lemberis
Coaches for the 5th and 6th grade track and field team
