The University of Chicago Police listed the following incidents as having occurred between July 16 and July 22.

On Tuesday, July 17 at 2:52 p.m., a suspect ate food without paying at the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine at the University of Chicago Medical Center, 5758 S. Maryland Ave., and was arrested by the UCPD.

On Friday, July 20 at 1:35 a.m., three suspects took a cell phone and wallet from a victim walking at 5140 S. Kimbark Ave. The Chicago Police are investigating.

On July 20 at 4:35 p.m., a suspect slashed a victim with a knife in an apartment building on the 5300 South block of Harper Avenue and was taken into custody by the Chicago Police. Chicago Fire Department emergency medical services treated the victim.

On Saturday, July 21 at 3:15 a.m., Chicago Police and UCPD officers responded to reports of shots fired at Drexel Avenue and 54th Street, finding a shattered window at a residence there. No injuries were reported and no suspects were on the scene.

At 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 22, the UCPD arrested two suspects removing a stereo system from a vehicle at 1424 E. 58th St. The suspects were charged with burglary to a motor vehicle.

On July 22 at 11 p.m., two suspects robbed a jogger, taking an iPhone, at 930 E. 53rd St. before fleeing the scene in a waiting white sedan.

On July 22 at 10:53 p.m., a UCPD officer, using a license plate-reader, found a parked, unoccupied vehicle at 6207 S. Ingleside Ave. that had been reported stolen and turned it over to the Chicago Police.

Other news sources are reporting that on Friday at 3:15 a.m., a suspect named Tyran Carter carjacked an Uber driver at gunpoint with another suspect on the 5100 South block of Cornell Avenue and later stole another car in the Bucktown neighborhood with two other accomplices. The three suspects involved with the Bucktown carjacking were arrested on Friday.
