To the Editor:

Today I walked through Jackson Park and observed that the underpass at 59th Street and Lake Shore Drive was still flooded. What was new was someone has jury-rigged a plank bridge over the flooded area. This structure is rickety, unstable and dangerous.

I believe if an individual attempts to utilize this bridging and is injured that the Chicago Park District and the City of Chicago could be held liable for any damages.

I also noticed a large pile of debris in this underpass and a rodent was observed.

The time has come to address these issues.
