Montgomery Place residents asked questions and offered feedback concerning the proposed Obama Presidential Center following a presentation on Thursday, Sept. 6, at the life plan community located at 5550 South Shore Drive.

Cory L. Thames, deputy director of engagement for the Obama Presidential Center, and Chris Brooks, senior project manager, provided updates concerning several issues, including continued accessibility to public transit routes, walking paths, street routing and parking.

“Since 2016, Montgomery Place has maintained a strong relationship with planners for the Obama Presidential Center, and we’ve served as a location for the center’s leaders to update Montgomery Place residents as well as the Hyde Park community on the project’s progress.” said Montgomery Place Board Chairman Mike McGarry. “We’re grateful for their efforts to keep us informed.”
