The University of Chicago Police listed the following incidents as having occurred between October 22 to October 28.

On Monday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m., suspects wanted by the Chicago Police for a crime committed outside of the UCPD patrol area crashed their vehicle at the Midway Plaisance and Dorchester Avenue and fled on foot. The police arrested one suspect.

On Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 12:59 a.m., a suspect shattered the driver’s side window of a car parked at 912 E. 56h St. and took property. UCPD officers arrested the suspect, who was charged with felony burglary.

On Oct. 23 at 5:50 a.m., suspects smashed the glass front door of the Kimbark Beverage Shoppe, 1214 E. 53rd St., and took merchandise before fleeing.

On Thursday, Oct. 25, at 3:33 p.m., a suspect grabbed an iPhone from a person walking on the sidewalk at 5545 S. University Ave. before fleeing on foot.

On Oct. 25, at 3:40 p.m., a suspect grabbed an iPhone from a person standing at a CTA bus stop at 1150 E. 60th St. and fled into a waiting vehicle.

On Saturday, Oct. 27, at 1:30 a.m., an underage individual became ill after consuming alcohol and was transported from the Max Palevsky Residential Commons, 1101 E. 56th St., to the University of Chicago (U. of C.) Medical Center by Chicago Fire Department emergency medical services (CFS EMS).

On Oct. 27 at 10:23 a.m., a UCPD officer located an unoccupied vehicle parked at 1100 E. 55th St. that had been reported stolen from Gary, Indiana.

On Sunday, Oct. 28, underage individuals became ill after consuming alcohol and were transported from Harper Library, 1116 E. 59th St., at 12:28 a.m. and from 5700 S. University Ave. at 3:05 a.m. to the U. of C. Medical Center by CFD EMS.

On Oct. 28 at 2:38 p.m., two juvenile male suspects approached a man from behind. One struck the victim on the head with a closed fist and demanded his iPhone outside of the Blackstone Branch of the Chicago Public Library, 4904 S. Lake Park Ave. UCPD officers observed the suspects and took them into custody after a foot chase; they turned the suspects over to the Chicago Police, who arrested them after the victim positively identified them. The iPhone was recovered.

On Oct. 28 at 4:41 p.m., a UCPD officer recovered an unoccupied vehicle parked at 5327 S. Shore Dr. that was reported stolen to the Chicago Police.
